Hola, México!–Tulum

Tulum

Tulum

Suzhou Impression

PingJiang Rd is one of the preserved districts in Suzhou.

Star anise is a suitable one cialis without prescriptions for recovering from impotence. Isn’t this herb amazing? But, how does it affect your weight? In the simplest of sample viagra terms, metabolism is the process by which food is converted into energy by the body.

Old houses stand along the river side.

It is beautiful.

There are teahouses and cafes decorated in Chinese vintage style.

There are colorful boards written with fancy handwriting

to advertise shop owners’ special sales.

Foreigners sit casually on the river side and have eggs and toast for breakfast.

To some extend, the whole street smells like an European small town

only with chinese architectures.

When you enter the across street,

it is a total different picture.

local people are riding their bikes and motorcycles to work.

Old ladies are negotiating with farmers on the corner of the street.

Mothers are walking their children to school.

Construction workers are getting ready for a long day.

Rickshaws start to yell for their first business in the morning glory.

In the morning, it is peaceful but busy.

You could never connect this peaceful place with the modern Suzhou.

Suzhou is changing.

Constructions are everywhere.

Although the government tries to make the city look unique and classical,

it is still changing in a way that I don’t want to see.

This small district is a good reflection.

The architectures are kept in their original shapes,

but the spirit of the place is losing day by day.

Visiters and tourists come and go,

but local people were kicked out of the street

for the government and businessmen to make more money.

Half of the district is so European now.

Sooner or later other across streets will follow.

local people could never afford a pot of tea for 100 RMB.

They could never afford 2 slides of toast for 20 RMB.

They will be kicked out of the district to make the place more European

to attract more US dollars or Euro.

It will be advertised as a living old town,

but the spirit of the old town is dead,

because the real social life of the local people is missing.

If I was an anthropologist,

I would cry deeply from my heart,

and try to stop it.

But I am not.

The only thing I could do is waiting for the changes,

then sigh, and leave.
